Changing Lives Together with Para Los Niños
We are honored to announce that we will be participating at Para Los Niños Annual Earth Day Celebration 2017 on April 11th. Though this is a private event, we thought you should know about how our foundation division is supporting Para Los Niños in raising awareness and taking action within the community and beyond.
Para Los Niños Means “For The Children”
Founded on Skid Row in 1980, Para Los Niños is a nonprofit organization that has been working for more than thirty years to create academic success and social well-being for children…
With a comprehensive social services model that incorporates:
- Education centers & schools for some 2,000 low-income children
- Family support & mental health services
- Parent engagement and community building opportunities
Para Los Niños serves 7,500 children, youth, and families each year. Para Los Niños places education at the core of its mission to break the cycle of poverty.
A Personal Mission for Our Founder
Dream Big Science founder Vivian Belmont is so pleased and thrilled for the opportunity to donate and support the Para Los Niños community. It holds a special place in her heart after working with the teachers, staff and especially with the children of the Para Los Niños Early Childhood Centers for many years. In fact, Vivian created and oversaw curriculum for their multiple sites.
Cultivate Love- Para Los Niños Annual Earth Day Celebration
Vivian will be working the event with her daughter, Amelia. Dream Big Science and Art will offer the Para Los Niños families an array of beautiful, natural materials to investigate, helping to cultivate a love for our planet and inspire STEM exploration.
