Vivian Belmont brings extensive experience and passionate commitment to supporting the development of imagination through scientific exploration in the world of early childhood education. Vivian’s expertise stems from her entrepreneurial present and background as founder and CEO of Dream Big Science and Art™ and prior to that multi-city birthday party business, Enchanted Parties, and her many years teaching, creating and implementing specialized science curriculum in early childhood education.
Since 2012, Vivian has served as President and CEO of Dream Big Science and Art™. Overseeing a growing staff, Vivian has lead Dream Big Science and Art™ from a small in-home office to a large space supporting an administrative center and small factory, conceiving and creating educational products. The first product developed, the Imaginology Kit™, has proven to be very successful winning the Academics’ Choice Brain Toy Award in 2015 and selling out inventory during its first Holiday season.
Vivian is currently working with Los Angeles preschools and libraries both in the public and private sectors providing science programs to countless children ranging from LA’s most impoverished to the very privileged. She leads Dream Big Science and Art’s growth from providing cutting edge science programs for just a few local preschools to presenting workshops at both Regional and National Conferences, focusing on Science in Early Childhood Education.
Vivian is also the head of the non-profit, Dream Big Science and Art Foundation™, which focuses on community outreach, providing under privileged students and communities with hands on science exploration, contributing materials, professional development, workshops and education to those who need it most.
Vivian is currently building plans to open the first Dream Big Science™ and Art Center, raising funds for the Dream Big Science and Art Foundation™, and further developing a line of educational products.
Prior to starting Dream Big Science and Art™, Vivian served for 7 years as Outdoor Curriculum Specialist at the Rose Engel Early Childhood Center at Adat Ariel, founded in 1938, the oldest congregation in the San Fernando Valley. During her years there, she taught multiple specialty classes from Build a City to Inventor’s Workshops, and developed and oversaw her award winning Outdoor Science Program, “Big Outdoor Science on a Shoestring Budget”. Previously, Vivian held the position of Curriculum Coordinator at Para Los Niños, overseeing 800 children and supporting staff development in seven preschools.
Vivian’s extremely successful imagination based birthday party business, Enchanted Parties, was based in Los Angeles with branches in San Diego and San Francisco. For about a decade, Vivian’s parties thrilled parents and children alike with their unique infusion of imagination.
A native New Yorker, Vivian lives with her spouse in Los Angeles where she raised her two daughters, now in their twenties, and is starting all over again with her adorable toddler son. She acquired her Director’s Credentials through Moorpark College and holds a BA from Bennington College. Vivian is known for her ability to capture an audience of children and adults due to her years of performing as an actress, clown and mime for which she was featured on the cover of New York Magazine.
